We recently celebrated Mia’s 9th birthday party at Archie Brothers and according to Mia it was “one of the best birthday parties EVER!” Mia invited 15 kids to her birthday party. Given that her friends are a mix of boys and girls, we had to find a venue and activity that both the girls and boys would enjoy.
3 hours of fun, food, and activities
There are three different kids’ party packages you can choose from and I chose The Big Top package for Mia’s party.
As soon as we entered Archie Brothers, we were directed to the Party Check-In booth where we met our Party Host. Our host proceeded to check all of our guests’ names, put wristbands on each of the kids, and took them straight to their first activity – bowling.
The kids were split across 3 bowling lanes and got to bowl for an hour. Our host made sure everyone was having a good time and brought out lemonade and water for the kids to keep hydrated while they played.
Time to eat
After an hour of bowling, the kids were ready to eat! Our party host gathered all the kids and took them to the party room that was set up ready for the kids to sit, eat and drink.
You have the choice to serve the kids pizza or chicken tenders as their main and a choice of chips or fruit as the side option as well as the option of soft drink and water. The kids devoured the food and absolutely loved the pizza. It was great to see that food was not wasted as they ate everything in front of them.
Time to play
Now that the kids’ energy has been recharged with food and drink, they were ready to play unlimited for an hour in the arcade area. The host handed out their Archie Brothers arcade game cards and as soon as they swipe their first game, the clock starts ticking. The kids can’t earn any tickets but the kids had access to pretty much all the games even including the Bumper Cars and Thrillrider game.
Mia’s favourite games was the Bumper Cars as a group of her friends was able to drive together and team up together in driving the cars. Mia also loved the Thrillrider. This is an interactive virtual reality game where the kids had to shoot their way through an adventure and play against each other. The ride also moved making it so much fun for the kids to do. This game can also cater to a group of kids playing together which they absolutely loved doing over and over again.
Cake time!
Once the one hour of playing arcade games was up, our Party Host gathered all the kids back into the Party Room to cut the cake. All the kids and parents gathered around and sang Happy Birthday to Mia as she blew her candles out. Our Party Host cut up the cake and handed it out to all the kids and adults to enjoy.
As part of the kids’ birthday packages at Archie Brothers, each birthday child receives a gift and Mia was very happy to receive this personalised birthday cake and 400 tickets to spend at the Archie Brothers gift store. Once Mia said goodbye to her friends, she stayed back and happily shopped in the gift store to spend her 400 tickets!
So what do we think about Archie Brothers as a party venue?
Fantastic! From the moment we walked in, Mia and her group of friends were well taken care of by the Party Host. Bowling was so much fun. The pizza was delicious and I have never been to a party where all the food was devoured! Usually there is such food waste but the kids clearly loved the food that was prepared at Archie Brothers. The amount of arcade games that the kids could choose to play with was also a huge highlight with the kids playing non-stop for the hour and each one of them with a huge smile on their face.
As a parent trying to organise and manage a party with 15 kids, holding a party at Archie Brothers was the most stress free and easy experience to not only plan but hold. The Party Host really took charge of the kids which meant I could sit back and enjoy watching Mia enjoying her party and capturing some beautiful photographic moments with her friends.
Mia raved about her party for days and said she really had the best time and really – what more do we want to hear from our kids on their special day!
