“A mattress in a box?”

When we ordered our Emma Original mattress for our 3 year old son as he finally moved from his cot to his big boy bed, I was shocked at how fast the mattress was delivered! I am talking about the order going through at night and the mattress being delivered the very next day.

I think the first thing that stood out to me (and I think anyone who has purchased mattresses before) is that my son’s mattress arrived in a long box. A column box. I was baffled. You then roll out the mattress and cut the plastic with the cutter that comes included with the mattress. Then before your eyes, you will see the Emma Original mattress come to life as the mattress essential grows into a fully fledged single mattress. My husband was worried that those creases and marks in the mattress from being rolled up wasn’t going to go away – making it uncomfortable to sleep on but while we let the mattress do its thing, within the minutes those creases and bumps were gone and all we saw was this super comfy mattress that my 3 year old couldn’t help throw himself on.

So why is it so good?

The Emma Original mattress has 3 layers of foam. Yes you read that right. 3. The top foam is a breathable foam that wicks away moisture and stops you from overheating. It’s also so bouncy making for a beautiful night sleep.

The top cover which is the white bit, is made from special climate control fibre that regulates humidity giving you a healthier night sleep. And the best part – the cover is machine washable.
