We currently use The Hug App to organise transport and care for our two kids, so if you are wondering why you should be downloading the app and using it, then here are 10 reasons why
1. Save time
Instead of wasting time with texts back and forth sorting out pick up/drop off location, date and time – all of this information will be sent to your friend or family via The Hug App. The App also saves you time from chatting on the phone relaying all this information and worrying that everything has been captured correctly on the other end!
2. Saved locations
You can save every location that your child needs to be dropped off and picked up from and each address is labelled according to how you and your network call that location. For example grandma’s address is labelled Grandma’s House and the address where your kids go swimming is called Swim School. You can customise each address as you please and you only have to save it once. Once you enter the app, the locations are saved for you for future use.
3. Custom groups
You can create a group of friends or family depending on which child you are requesting transport or care for or for a specific reason. For example you can create a group of the Mums who goes to your child’s school and then send a request to all of them at the same time to ask who might be able to pick up your child if you are running late from work. Or you might have specific family members who can only look after the baby, so you create a group just including them and send them a request if you need one of them to look after your baby.
4. Schedule
It’s now easy to see who is looking after or transporting your kids all on the one screen! You no longer have to go through messages or emails to check if you have sent the right information to the right party. You can also see what pick up or drop offs you are scheduled to do that week.
5. Transactional nature
There is no need to send messages back and forth. Once the job has been accepted, all details is in the app.
6. GPS
Location sharing services gives peace of mind knowing where your child is at all times. Just like what you see on the Uber app, you can track where your kids are.
7. It’s a safe and secure platform
All details are safely secured within the app and you don’t have to worry about text messages with personal details being sent to the wrong person by accident.
8. It’s fun
The Hug App has 11 different in-app animations that allows users to thank each other for their help.
9. No pressure
Feedback from parents who currently use the app say that a major benefit is not having to verbally ask for help by way of a phone call or text message. They often feel like they are pressuring the other person by doing so. By using the app, family and friends don’t feel so pressured to help and only do so when they can. On the flip side, family and friends don’t have to feel bad if they can’t help – they simply decline the request without feeling obligated to give an excuse.
