  1. I always did this when our children were younger, much better than seeing children with mums phone in their hands!! Awesome idea!!

  2. I pack plenty snacks, they definitely help!
But a very busy bag is just what we need for our upcoming trip to South Africa with our 2 little busy boys (one with autism and ADHD). It would be a lifesaver for us and all those travelling in our flights! It would certainly keep the calm 😊

  3. I always pack some headphones so my little girls can chill out listening to their favourite music! It’s especially comes in handy to block out the noise when travelling on a plane and often leads to a nap or two! Bonus!

  4. Traveling can be hard,
Add kids to the mix and you could be scarred,
    Distraction with fun and games,
    Before the kids mum shames,
Coloring pencils and books are great,
    Or the ipad we operate.

  5. A backpack full of exciting goodies such as puzzle books, pencil case, reading books, colouring books, travel games etc. We pack one each for our kids when traveling and they never get bored.

  6. Our must item would be snacks. Whenever kids sit down and are tied into a seat, my 2 are always hungry. The saying ‘mum……im hungry’ drives me mad. Its like the saying ‘are we there yet’. With snacks i can stop the saying or at least fill there mouths with food as they cant talk.

  7. Not just great for kids on planes but everywhere – at the doctors, in the hospital, hair salon, clothes shopping, at the bank, at the solicitors, and on it goes. Have a couple of ‘very busy bags’ and ensure at least one is always left in the car.

  8. I attempt my own Very Busy Bag with goodies like stickers, stamps, blind bags and invisible ink markers. We’ve not yet attempted a long haul flight… Hopefully travel will seem a lot less daunting with an authentic Very Busy Bag to keep Miss 3 entertained!

  9. My number one item when travelling with kids is patience (for obvious reasons!).

  10. Sleeping tablets….. For me because I’ve flown long haul with my kids and they were great. Me however, complained like a child and hated it so much. Lol

  11. My husband’s family lives in France so this would be perfect for the long flights over!

  12. Snacks. You can never have enough food and you don’t want anyone getting “Hangry” on a plane with no way to escape!

  13. We always have headphones, a splitter (so 2 kids can listen at once) and audio books on our mp3. No journey is boring with Roald Dahl as the sound track (we especially love the books he reads himself!).

  14. Always some form of entertainment! Knowing little ones, they can go from quiet to loud in a matter of minutes! I always bring a doodle board, they can draw and wipe away for hours on end, using their endless creative imaginations!

  15. Paracetamol for me and heaps of spare outfits for my kids. One spews, the other knocks over every drink we are served.

  16. Always take snacks!!!! There is nothing worse then hearing ‘I’m hungry’ when you are thousands of feet above the ground without a drive through or shop in sight. I always pack individual chips/cookies and lolly bags to keep little kiddies happy (plus airline food isn’t exactly the most appealing to little kids!!)

  17. pencils and paper but would love a busy bag because it looks way better 🙂

  18. Pencils. No matter how small or how big they get we always find drawing and colouring is a big hit on the road.

  19. A baby/child friendly air steward/hostess to take babe away for a walk up the aisle while I down a couple of bites of airline food or while I attend to older child.

  20. A preschool friendly trail mix is a must. With gummy bears, craisins, and pretzels, it’s a vacation, so I’m not fussed. It helps immensely with little one’s sensitive ears. At the end of the flight we all yell out happily CHEERS.
